GT eVerb Electrifies Adventures on the Trail with Longer Rides

Wilton, Conn. – October 5, 2017 – GT Bicycles, a premium brand of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A), today released the eVerb, an all-new electric assist full-suspension bike for trail adventurers looking to go further. Inspired by the traction and stability of the GT Verb, the eVerb brings riders out of their comfort zone to push their boundaries at full speed.

“We wanted to create a mountain bike that is playful and fun,” said Cait Dooley, GT E-Bike Product Manager. “The eVerb is a bike that makes spending longer days on the mountain possible and encourages riders to tackle trails confidently.”

The eVerb truly defies the limits of a mountain bike. It provides riders with excellent maneuverability, handling and overall control on the toughest terrain thanks to its plush plus size wheels and the central positioning of the bike’s Shimano STEPS E8000 Drive Unit. The eVerb’s electric pedal assist saves riders’ energy for later, while its neutral riding position means riders can do it all, whether cruising, climbing or descending.

GT athletes put the bike to the test on trails and found that the eVerb is a great boost in speed, energy and distance.

“I never really was a fan of e-bikes, until I actually rode the eVerb in Leogang [Austria],” said Wyn Masters, GT Factory Racing Team athlete. “You can do a quick ride with much more descending and still enjoy the climb back up. It opens up so much more terrain to ride without needing a shuttle or lift to get up, to me that just makes sense!”

The eVerb is available in Europe in 2 models, the Amp and the Current.  For more information on GT, its pro riders and the bikes they ride, visit Check out GT Bicycles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, and follow GT BMX Freestyle on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
